December Property Auction: A Look at the Results
Town and Country’s December Auction proved to be another successful national online auction with over circa £6.5m in properties sold.
Over the course of the month, we listed a range of properties, including residential homes, commercial buildings, and vacant land across the UK.
The auction garnered significant attention from buyers across the country, eager to participate in the highly competitive bidding process. The allure of the properties on offer, resulted in a fierce competition among potential buyers.
Auction Highlights
This one bedroom apartment in London was acquired by a buyer before the auction. Located on the first floor of a well-maintained Victorian terrace property.
This modernised turnkey investment in the popular area of Shawclough was sold prior the Manchester Auction.
There was intense competition for the property on Lon Y Gelli, which received 28 bids and ultimately sold for £202,000—£42,000 above the guide price.
Ysgol Y Clogau, detached stone building, originally constructed in 1879 with traditional stonework and a slated roof. Situated in the sought-after village of Bontddu within Snowdonia National Park, the property attracted 42 bids and sold for £107,000, exceeding the guide price by £37,000.
A three-bedroom semi-detached property generating an annual income of £7,140 was sold at the North West Auction. The property received 36 bids and ultimately sold for £80,000.
Previously used as a gaming cave, this property in Carlisle sold at auction for £10,750.
A total of 9 bids were placed on Bridge Street, Dumbarton. The property sold for £50,000 achieving £10,000 over the Guide Price.
A one bedroom ground floor apartment in a small Victorian block of 4 flats was offered in our South Auction. The property saw competitive bidding and sold for £55,000.
Hurn Court was purchased pre-auction, a three bedroom 2nd floor penthouse style apartment within a magnificent grounds of 10 acres.
