April Property Auction: A Look at the Results
Town and Country’s April proved to be another successful national online auction with over £8.1m in properties sold. Over the course of the month, we listed a range of properties, including residential homes, commercial buildings, and vacant land across the UK.
The auction garnered significant attention from buyers across the country, eager to participate in the highly competitive bidding process. The allure of the properties on offer, resulted in a fierce competition among potential buyers.
Auction Highlights
Our Cheshire, Shropshire and Staffordshire auction featured Crestfield Road. A fantastic investment opportunity for investors. The property requires modernisation throughout and was snapped up by a buyer before the auction.
The Manchester auction saw competitive bidding on Long Street, with a total of 18 bids and sold for £600,000. The property consists of shops and commercial premises. There is agreed planning for the upper floor to convert to flats *. The shops are let to established tenants and come fully managed.
The North East Auction offered a fantastic investment opportunity. The property requires refurbishment and the current market Rental value is approx £650 – £675 month.
We saw competitive bidding on a parcel of land extending to 1.3 acres of thereabouts in Wrexham offered in partnership with Legat Owen. A total of 29 bids were placed and achieved a sold price of £62,000.
Coed Melys offered a brilliant opportuntiy to create a stunning family home in a prominent position. The property comprises of four bedrooms, sitting on a good size plot with view reaching towards The Menai Straits and Carneddau Mountains.
The North West Auction saw significant interest in South Road. The property requires full modernisation which attracted interest from investors. A total of 33 bids were placed and the property sold for £153,000.
Foxhouses Road sold at the North West Auction for £10,000. The property offered a great opportunity for investors with the income generating £5,400 per annum on a periodical AST.
The Scotland Auction offered an excellent buy to let property with a potential rental of £450pcm generating an impressive 54% yield against guide price.

Blairannaich sold post auction for £1,000,000.
The South Auction featured Fenton Road which requires extensive refurbishment. A detached family home in a very desirable location of Southbourne, Bournemouth. The property received significant pre-auction interest and sold prior to the auction for £301,620.
The property amassed a total of 80 bids and sold at Auction for £121,000.
A freehold house in need of complete refurbishment. The property is semi detached and offers excellent accommodation including large rooms throughout, private garden and two reception rooms.
The South Wales Auction offered a very nicely presented 4 Bedroom property located in the village of Llanaint, convenient to Ferryside and Kidwelly. Fantastic 4 Bedroom property with uninterrupted Sea Views. The property was snapped up prior to the auction.
Derby Street is a popular residential street. It is close to all the amenities you need, with local shops, schools and the city centre just a stone’s throw away. Plus, the countryside is within easy reach.
The property is in need of a full course of modernisation. A total of 15 bids were placed and the property sold for £85,000.
